Our home base. Stamped patios, driveways, floors and footings.
General Maintenance Works is based in Allenton, a rural community in Berlin Township in St. Clair County, and we work close to home as well as across Macomb County. Out here the jobs run from stamped patios and long driveways to pole barn floors, garage slabs, footings and block.
We own our own machinery, so the same crew can dig, set the forms and pour, without waiting on another outfit to show up first. Call, text or email (586) 531-1490, tell us what you are picturing, and we will come out and put a free estimate in writing.
Rural properties ask more of concrete than a city lot does. A pole barn floor has to carry equipment, a driveway may run a long way back from the road, and an approach takes the weight of trucks turning in all year. Michigan frost makes every one of those jobs depend on what is underneath: a compacted base, the right mix and joints cut where we choose. Footings go down 42 inches below grade, the depth Michigan code requires, so frost does not lift them.
Slabs that carry equipment, poured on a compacted base.
Set 42 inches below grade, as Michigan code requires.
One crew digs the hole and pours what goes in it.
